What does PFAs free mean?

PFAS-free means the product does not contain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), a large group of man-made chemicals sometimes called “forever chemicals.”
These compounds have been widely used to make materials water-, stain-, and grease-resistant, but they break down extremely slowly and can accumulate in the environment and the human body. When a fabric or product is labeled PFAS-free, it signals that those chemicals weren’t used in its production or finishing, making it a safer and more environmentally responsible choice.
